  BATAM, Indonesia, Aug. 21 -- PT Grand Uway Development held a groundbreaking ceremony on August 20, 2009 to mark the commencement of the construction of Grand Quarter, an integrated business and recreation area, in Batam. This Ground Breaking ceremony signifies the start of Grand Quarter construction. As a first step in construction, PT Grand Uway Development as developer of Grand Quarter has appointed PT Pratama Widya as contractors to build the first stage of Grand Quarter's building foundation. Pratama Widya has set a target for the foundation to be completed within 5 months time or around January 2010. Grand Quarter has total investment value of US$ 120 million, with first phase investment value of US$ 50 million. As contractors, Pratama Widya has been favorably known among Indonesian property developers since 1980. Pratama Widya started out as highly respected land consultants and has grown to be known as Ground Mechanic structural expert contractors. Pratama Widya's proof of expertise can be seen in its many branches in various areas in Indonesia, such as Batam, Medan, Lampung, Pekanbaru, Surabaya, Bali, Balikpapan, Pontianak, Makassar, and Manadao. The latest project handled by Pratama Widya is Luxurious Apartment, Bayerin Apartment in Harbour Bay. Jakarta, March 19th 2009 – PT Grand Uway Development held a media gathering to announce a strategic cooperation agreement established with Bouygues Batiment International, which represented by Dragages Singapore Pte Ltd. The signing related with the development of integrated business and leisure area, Grand Quarter Batam, had been conducted in Singapore, March 17th, between President Director of PT Grand Uway Development, Ansyar Heriyadi, and South Asia General Manager of Dragages Singapore Pte.Ltd., Ludwig Reichhold. The agreement stated that the French-based company is responsible to provide funding, conduct construction, and supervising quality control of the US$ 120 million project. |
